What People Are Saying

Detroit Community Schools

Developing strong teams while understanding and appreciating differences is what my teachers and I have come to value. Through the “Solving the People Puzzle, “Love and Logic”®, “Roots of Underachievement”, “Environment at Work” and many other trainings of Mark and Karen Wagnon, we have been able to sustain our teaching environment even with the transient population of student’s we have had through the years. As Principal, I have taken Mark and Karen with me to three Detroit Public schools, as I was promoted or transitioned to new environments. They have been my secret weapon to bring my teams together to fight the war of properly educating and nurturing children and their parents for the common good of society.

I love and respect them very much for the many contributions they have made to my staff and my students. I truly thank them for the service they provide to the educational arena.

Great insight into our need to adapt as parents not force kids to act and perform our way.

This was great! I learned about myself, my child, and my students. Can’t wait to change up some things. Derrica H. – Teacher Cleveland Pre-K-6

You and your husband are wonderful. It was the best professional development I have attended. Thank you. Matthew S.- Teacher – Rivers Edge PreK-6

Top notch! Karen’s personality is contagious, combined with the knowledge of the techniques delivered to us. Mark is a wonderful model of the C and S personality. I love how Karen seemed to understand what the Montessori Method offers. (I have been to so many workshops that do not understand our time management, multi-aged and movement in the classroom challenges.) I am inspired. Thank you. Katherine M. – Teacher- Rivers Edge PreK-6

What a team! You kept me interested. That is hard for anyone to do!

Hope of Detroit Academy

From the very first session (we had a three-part training), Karen and Mark had our staff reflecting on their students’ personality types and excitedly talking about which strategies they could immediately implement with their students. I have had staff come to me all year talking about how they are using the Love and Logic strategies with their kids. Many of our staff have told me that the trainings that Karen and Mark provided were the most helpful they have had all year. Karen and Mark are very engaging, energetic, and personable, and they do a great job making this important information relatable and easy to implement. We loved them so much we even decided to do a parent training. We can’t wait to have them back again in the future!!
